I was born in Pisa on the 13 of August 1971.I am a percussionist and a drummer and I am specialized in Afro-Cuban percussions.I started to study with Mr. Valerio Perla and then I continued my education following international teachers such as Ernesttico (to improve percussions), Mr. Oracio Ernandez (el negro) to improve battery and with Mr. Galeazzi ( Maggio Fiorentino) for vibes.

This great passion for percussion started when I was 7 years old, when “Homo Sapiens” a really famous group in the 70’ and in the 80’) played in my garage and I strummed with their instruments.

In 1996 I went to Habana to refine my competences and I had the chance to play with Tito Puente.

In 1998 I started to play in clubs with the name of Silvano Del Gado.

Matching percussions with dj was a great successful idea and it was the chance to make me become popular in Italy and all over the world up to “Disco Down” my first record with Gianni Bini and Paolo Martini.From that moment I started to produce on my own with the music tags Subliminal records and Defected.and beginning with the “Coffee Beat “series (volume n.2 was a tribal-house hit in the world).

In 2001 Iskra Menarini (a component of Lucio Dalla’s chorus) contacted me to play with her band during a tournee in Australia. When I came back to Italy, and with the guide of Mr.Joe T. Iskra Menarini annelli, dj and producer, I was part of the Supalova Club, the famous Thursday night at the Old Fashion in Milan live on Radio DJ.

I collaborated with the most famous djs and tags such as Erick Morillo, Little Louie Vega, Mousse T, Bob Sinclaire, David Guetta, and with famous musicians. For example, I had the chance to work with the clarinetist Alessandra Cavallini, matching percussions with classic music; I played with famous jazz pianists such as Franco Santarnecchi ePiero Frassi, and with the saxophonists Luca Signorini (Dirotta su Cuba), Cris Pacini e Claudio Fabiani; with the percussionist Tony Esposito; with Rossana Casale, Maria Grazia DiMichele, Povia e L'Aura, guest star at the music contest “Discanto”.

In 2007 and 2008 I took part at the opening of Vasco Rossi’s tour at San Siro in Milan and at Olimpic Stadium in Rome

In 2010 after a lot of productions and remixes I decided to found my first music tag the DNC Records, and then the Del Gado Rec.

Nowadays I am a musician, a dj, a percussionist, a producer and I play in the most famous club in Italy and in the world.
